Business Development Director

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 per annum plus uncapped commission expected to exceed £40K+
Location: Central London
£80-£90k base plus commission first year £40k+ this is uncapped. We have partnered with a global organisation that is a Stakeholder Intelligence company. They are set to become the No.1 stakeholder intelligence to support business professionals manage stakeholders and now are look to bolster their team with an excellent Business Development Director.
They combine award-winning AI technology with sector analysts to provide an integrated solution covering media, reputation, ESG, risk and board intelligence to support decision-makers and stakeholder management. Working with 100+ Global 2000 companies they have an amazing reputation and a brilliant business model.
You will play a critical role of driving revenue growth and carry out a strategic business development role, which involves building relationships and uncovering opportunities within assigned key accounts. You will have personally demonstrated solution-selling experience, including developing account strategies, providing strong leadership and hands-on participation in strategic engagements.
Responsibilities will include
• Development and implementation of a holistic growth strategy for the key accounts within your sector.
• The generation of sales from stakeholders and from Corporate Communication professionals at enterprise level.
• Develop, forecast and close business within the assigned territory.
• Manage all phases of the sales cycle, including opportunity management, demo, proposal development, and closing.
• Working with the wider commercial team, including marketing.
To thrive within this role, you will be business focused, ability to forge relationships at a senior level from Director of Communications to Chief Marketing Officer (as an example). You will have experience of executing growth plans and account mapping. You will understand the challenges business face with regards to their communications strategies and offer solutions to this. Your background will be within strategic sales, ideally you would have excellent contacts within the marketing and communications sector however this is not a prerequisite. Your ability to forge relationships and add value at a senior level is key for the role.
