Senior External & Engagement Communications Manager (In-House ) (full-time, 3-6 month contract contract)

£43k-£46k + benefits (pro-rata).  We’re seeking Senior External & Engagement Communications Manager for a 3-6 month contract with a charity that saves lives.  You will play a leading role in the communications team to strategically drive all proactive and reactive communications for the charity.  You will be reporting to, and working closely with, the Director of Communications and Engagement and will line manage a PR and Communications Officer.

You will develop plans to maximise the impact of all the external communications activity to strengthen the charity’s identity and increase understanding of their charitable status. You will have excellent experience in generating and delivering impactful communications and campaigns, developing strong relationships, managing budgets and delivering on strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted, engaging and impactful communications programmes.
  • Deliver successful integrated campaigns and support income generation.
  • Work with the team to develop and deliver the PR and Communications strategy.
  • Lead the in-house press office, supporting an increase in media coverage across print, online and broadcast both locally and nationally.
  • Experienced within the charity sector and brilliant copy writer, content planner and event manager.
